We avoid pain at all costs. Some pain is helpful, yes, it is an indicator that something is wrong and we should listen to it.
But we shouldn't let it influence our decision. It is merely another variable in our decision-making process.
All gains are on the other side of pain. If you're not feeling the pain of failure, you're not pushing your limits, and if you're not pushing your limits, you're not maximizing your potential.
Don't be afraid of pain, rather use it as an signal and be excited when you encounter pain because it is valuable feedback that you are on the right path as you expand your potential.
